I have attended the Lily on the Cove Retreat, and I’d do it again! The hosts, Christine and Eileen, both highly accomplished, brilliant, talented poets, were so generous with their time. Each of them went through my entire poetry manuscript and made copious notes. Then, throughout the weekend, each met with me to discuss their notes and suggestions at length. As if that wasn’t enough…you’re on the ocean. You’re eating clean, delicious meals and snacks. You’re clinking wine glasses, enjoying morning coffee or tea. You’re finding quiet time to write and edit in a peaceful, comfortable, quaint home on lovely Cape Cod. What more could a poet ask for? How about making new friends, kayaking, talking craft, an incredible view, a home full of evocative artwork, and of course “sea beans”? Do not hesitate to sign up for this helpful retreat – I came home feeling refreshed and motivated, with the clarity needed to edit, strengthen, and finalize my manuscript. Worth every penny!

Lily on the Cove provided a beautiful oasis for a small selection of poets to go deep, on our manuscripts and with each other. It was a weekend full of meaningful conversation, natural beauty, and such loving care for our manuscripts from the editors at Lily Poetry. Even before the conference, I had doors open up for revision through the thoughtful questions they sent us, and which I will forever refer back to when working on a manuscript!

If you are looking for a relaxing get away from it all with a small group of fellow writers and a close examination of your manuscript, this is the place for you. Extremely reasonably priced, delicious homemade food. There are kayaks, surf boards and you are on the water., minutes from the ocean and the quaint town of Orleans. The very best part is the fact that you will walk away with a new sense of where your writing is going and possibilities of change. Very personalized. Frankly, the best retreat I’ve ever been to in my life.
