You Offered Me Your Horses by Anne Elezabeth Pluto

Praise for You Offered Me Your Horses

“Memory settles like water beneath the sediment in Anne Elezabeth Pluto’s You Offered Me Your Horses; language becomes the only homeland, and love reaches toward a paradise already vanishing. These poems seek not simply to remember but to undo time itself, allowing each moment to surface, altered by loss yet restored to its first light—as though uncovering a world that, like an indelible lover, still watches me and remembers / my name.

—Dzvinia Orlowsky, author of Those Absences Now Closest; recipient of the 2026 David Ferry and Ellen LaForge Prize in Poetry and Poetic Translation.
